Catholic Marriage Education Services provides programs to prepare couples for marriage and provides ongoing marriage education.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION

Preparation is a necessary part of every important thing we do, and marriage is no different. Much time and effort will usually go toward the planning and organising of the wedding day, and so too some preparation for the lifetime of marriage that comes after the wedding is a useful and important part of being engaged.

It is a requirement that all couples who wish to marry in the Catholic Church attend some preparation. For many this will include some of the services offered by us at Catholic Marriage Education Services. Of course, attending one of the pre-marriage courses cannot replace meeting with the priest or deacon, which forms part of the preparation process.

NOTE: If either of you have been MARRIED BEFORE it is a requirement of the Archdiocese that you attend an interview with a counsellor before attending a course. At the interview the counselor will discuss with you the best course to suit your situation. Please ring (08) 9241 5000to make an appointment prior to enrolling in a course.

MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT

It is also true to say that maintenance and renewal are part of the important things in life and marriage is one of the very important things. Catholic Marriage Education Services provide a variety of Marriage Enrichment and education events which give couples the chance to learn new skills, a chance to refocus on the each other and the relationship and a chance to relax and talk over their issues without distractions.
